Numerous undergraduate research programs in the fields of science, 技术, 工程, and mathematics are offered at Penn State University College campuses, providing students with a special chance early in their post-secondary academic careers.
A new research program for students will be launched this coming fall: The Vice President for Commonwealth Campuses Undergraduate Student Research Fund aims to support student-led projects in different fields. Participants will acquire hands-on experience in research, scholarship, and artistic efforts. They will be responsible for creating their own research problems, 研究建议, 方法, and presenting their findings.
明迪Gruzin, a recent Penn State York graduate, preserves spider embryos for gene expression as part of an undergraduate research project she did at the campus prior to the University's move to remote learning. Gruzin now is headed to medical school in the fall, with a full-ride scholarship to pursue internal medicine and primary care.
Current Penn State 新肯辛顿 students are invited to register for the annual Research and Student Engagement Expo scheduled for April 7. Students will be able to see and present research projects and meet with business and industry leaders about internship and job opportunities.
Penn State University Libraries awarded its Undergraduate Research Award: Excellence in Information Literacy to students at nearly all undergraduate Penn State campuses in April, honoring 97 undergraduate students as well as eight graduate students participating in their respective campus-wide research exhibition events.
